Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 心理與諮商學系碩士班 === 100 === Counseling carries the burden of social expectations, but it is not well-understood by the public. Through studying in the department of counseling and psycholgy, I created a kind of image as a counseling mojor in my mind. However, my broken love story totally destroyed myself as who I think I was, and what I think counseling was as well. This thesis recorded my breaking up story, as well as a journey of professional identity seeking as a counseling trainee.
The first chapter explains why I chose the topic and the rationale of self-narrative method. The second chapter stated literature review about breaking up and counseling professional identity. The third chapter is about the writing up process and research method. The forth chapter is the event of my breaking up story. The fifth chapter depicted how I reframed my experiences, and constructed the comprehension on intimate relationship. My professional identity was molded in the mean time.
The process of self-narrative is not only a journey of healing, but also a learning from my own life experiences. Finally, the process itself leads me into the professional life and helps me set a goal to be a counselor in the future.
