Furthermore, the researcher attempted to discuss whether the teachers’ innovation abilities and Self-efficacy on Teaching were affected by the teachers’ demographic variables. Methods adopted in this research were conducted through questionnaire. The samples were 421elementary special education teachers selected from 22 Counties in Taiwan. The researcher analyzed the survey data by various statistical methods, such as t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and the findings of these conclusions were summarized as follows: 1. The current situation of elementary special education teachers’ innovation abilities and self-efficacy on teaching had over average expressions. 2. The general performance of elementary special education teachers’ innovation abilities varied significantly from different types of teaching classes. On the other hand, there were no significant differences in gender, age, different professional background and years of service. 3. The general performance of elementary special education teachers’ self-efficacy on teaching varied significantly from different age, professional background and years of service. On the other hand, there were no significant differences in gender and different types of teaching classes. 4. There was high positive correlation between special education teachers’ innovation abilities and special education teachers’ self-efficacy on teaching for elementary schools in Taiwan. In the end, this research provided concrete advices for the reference of special education teachers and follow-up researchers.
