The changing criterion design of the single subject research was adopted in this study. The participant was an 8th-grade student with low achievement in mathematics from a junior high school in Taipei. Using computerized schema strategy was the experimental instruction. The independent variable was computerized schema strategy and the dependent variable was the student’s performance on addition and subtraction of positive and negative numbers. Data were collected and ananlyed by the visual inspection method. The results of this study are as follows: 1.By using computerized schema strategy, there were immediate effects and maintenance effects on the overall performance of addition and subtraction of positive and negative numbers of a junior high school student. 2.By using computerized schema strategy, the processes of the operation with negative and positive numbers were improved.
