The so-called term ' Chinese style ' means the melody style is the creation of Chinese Minor Scale or the traditional Pentatonic Scale, or the application of Chinese traditional music instruments in the melody arrangement. This research study chooses Jay Chou,Leehom Wang and Angela Chang as the discussion subjects for exploration. The 'Chinese style' of songs have become a must-have style in every music album of Jay Chou's since year 2000. Leehome Wang has released two albums in series with'Chinked-Out' elements as the main theme. This study analyses eight music pieces,which are Jay Chou, Leehom Wang and Angela Chang, to compare and contrast how they use Pentatonic Scale material from nine categories: lyrics, melody arrangement style, range, mode, music form, basic rhythm, Time signature , tempo, and melody interval. This research uses Literature Survey/Review and Content Analysis mainly in order to explore the eight music pieces in the eight music albums, which uses Pentatonic Scale Material, within the five-year period from year 2003 to 2008. According to the results, this paper presents: 1. the tendency of Taiwan pop music content to understand the recent direction and development of Taiwan pop music creation. 2. the influence of pop music to societal and cultural atmosphere, especially in teenager education, with the power of idols leading teenagers to develop in a positive direction. 3. the understanding of the importance of Chinese Pentatonic Scale and the good application of 'Chinese style'to promote that certain style of pop music to be popular again through the music work of the three pop singers. 4. the use of the profound history of Taiwanese pop music to help and provide heritage in Taiwanese music education. At the end of this paper, the author of the study proposes suggestions based on the study result to governmental sectors, music educators, record companies, music writers and future research.
