Furthermore, it also investigated the correlation between mothers' parenting stress and happiness. There were 553 valid samples through purposive sampling. The Parenting Stress Scale and Chinese Happiness Scale (CHI) Starter Edition were used as the research tools. The descriptive statistics, one-way multivariate analysis of variance, correlation analysis, and multiple stepwise regression analysis were used as data analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. The stress of mothers with preschool children: there was positive correlation between both "working conditions" and “economic conditions” and the parenting stress for mothers' with preschool children in the different background variables. 2. The happiness of mothers with preschool children: there was a positive correlation between both “age” and “education level” and happiness for the mothers', whereas “economic conditions” showed negative correlation to it. 3. There was negative correlation between the happiness and stress for mothers' with preschool children. Moreover, the aspects of the pressure of the external environment, the pressure of the parent-child interaction, the pressure of "life adjustment", and the pressure of "social interaction" all showed significant negative results to the aspect of happiness for mothers' with preschool children.
