Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 100 === This study explores the reflection, dimensionless displacement, and dimensionless power, which the experiment in the wave tank when regular waves passed the piston-type porous(PTP) wave energy converter that consisted of a solid wall, a vertical porous plate, a transmission bar, a rigid block constrained, and a spring.
This experiment changed the vertical porous plate parameter, porosity(ε), and plate of the submerged depth(d/h). In the end, the experimental results were compared with a numerical solution (Yueh and Chuang, 2012). The results and the numerical solution were similar. In the dimensionless displacement, when the period increased, the experiment of Hv/H became larger than the numerical solution. Finally, the experiment’s maximum dimensionless power occurred in various positions of the horizontal axis when the numerical solution when in the large period. The power was divided by wave power to obtain the wave power transform ratio. When the porous plate porosity (ε) was 0.4, the maximum wave power transform ratio was 31.21%. However, when ε= 0.0, the maximum ratio increased to 91.16%. This means that when ε=0.0, more power was provided to the systems. Therefore, future studies can use ε=0.0 for their experiments.
