Hybrid tilapia averaged weight (900 ± 50) g were used to observe the 24-hour time course changes of the plasma and urine myo-inositol concentration after fish either orally forced fed diet containing 0, 150, 300, 450, 600 and 1200 mg/kg myo-inositol or injected through caudal vein 5 ml of 0, 40, 80 ,120 and 160 ppm myo-inositol solution. Plasma myo-inositol level significantly elevated at the 2nd hour after the initiation of the experiment, then peaked at 6th to 8th hour on all that of fish orally forced fed diets containing various levels of myo-inositol than the control group. Myo-inositol level in the plasma peaked at 2nd hour on all after fish injected different levels of myo-inositol. The hepatic and cardio accumulation capacity of myo-inositol was 300 mg/kg for dietary level and 120 ppm for injection level. In the liver and heart, the accumulation of myo-inositol increased with increasing dietary levelwhen this level was less than 300 mg/kg and there were no differces among those fish received levels beyond 24hrs after feeding. Similar phenomenon was found in injection experiment. So that a 300 mg/kg dietary level and 120 ppm injection level were respective hepatic and cardio saturated accumulation capacity level The 50% clearance time for plasma inulin was 10.25 ± 0.19 minutes.
