Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 體育學系在職進修碩士班 === 100 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships between participating motivation and benefits in the recreational sports among the senior high and vocational school students in Grear Taipei areas and to understand the diverseness of students with different backgrounds on participating motivation and benefits in the recreational sports. The questionnaire survey of the self-edited “A study of the relationships between participating motivation and benefits in the recreational sports among the senior high and vocational school students " was adopted as the research tool. There were 600 effective questionnaires were collected, and descriptive statistics analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and canonical correlation analysis were applied for data analysis. The findings of the study were suggested as the followings: 1. The primary five motivations are (in descending order):“The self potential demand”, “To promote social and work”, “To promote friendship”, “Health and fitness”, “ To improve physical and mental”. 2. The primary three benefits of the recreation are (in descending order) “Psychological benefits”, “Physiological benefits”, “Social benefits”. 3. There were one canonical correlation factors reaching significant level among participating motivation and benefits in the recreational sports in the senior high and vocational school students, which revealed that canonical correlation did exist among the two variables. This study proposed suggestions if leisure sports education will be the part of school education curriculum that students usually can develop their good habits.
