It also explores the differences caused by background variables. Based on the purpose of this research, a survey is designed and employed to investigate the eighth-grade students’ alto recorder learning satisfaction at junior high schools. 29 schools were selected by the stratified random and cluster sampling survey method. The constructed is distributed to 1029 eighth-grade students in Pingtung. Among 1005 received surveys, 928 copies contain valid data. The effective percentage was 92.3%. All survey results are processed through data analyses including the descriptive statistics, t-test independent samples, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe’ methed. The conclusions of the research are summarized as follows: 1. The eighth-grade students choose “fair” to “satisfying” about their alto recorder learning satisfaction. Among all aspects, the “teaching method”, “relationship” stands out to be the most satisfying and reaches the level of “satisfying”. 2. Eighth-grade students of different gender in overall alto recorder learning satisfaction reached a significant difference: The result was that alto recorder learning satisfaction of female students’ was higher than male students’. 3. The eighth-grade students’ alto recorder learning satisfaction of small-scale schools are the highest. 4. That won’t affect the overall alto recorder learning satisfaction of the eighth-grade students whether the parents have music professional background or not. It differs significantly only in the “learning achievement” aspect. 5. The eighth-grade students’ personal music qualifications are more abundant which alto recorder learning satisfaction was also higher. The researcher based on the conclusion of reference for the school administration, music teachers, parents and students, as well as follow-up study suggested that for educational theory and practice.
