Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 科學教育研究所 === 100 === This research aims to explore the correlation between the personality and creativity performed by students under the learning environment of scientific experiment classrooms. The research is designed with the single anterior and posterior tests by recruiting the experimental subjects with 140 students from scientific experiment classrooms on Yilan. Research tools include the“Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking” and the“Personality Scale of Elementary School Students”. There are totally 120 valid questionnaire replies received with its validity rated at 85.7%. In data processing and analysis, this research is designed with descriptive statistics, T-tests, one-way ANOVA analysis, Pearson Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis to analyze the results. Major research results include: 1. Among the personalities of the students from the scientific experiment classrooms, most students show their openness to experience. The students of neurotic personality occupy the fewest. 2. In view of the personality difference of students from different background variables, for the students of neurotic personality, more students show higher interest in scientific experiments. In view of the openness to experience, students with higher interest in scientific experiments have the parents holding higher academic levels. In view of agreeableness, students with parents of higher academic levels perform better than those with parents of lower academic levels. In view of consciousness, male students conduct less conscious behaviors than females. Students with higher interest in scientific experiments conduct better self-disciplined behaviors than those with lower interest. Students with parents of higher academic levels conduct better self-disciplined behaviors than those with parents of lower academic levels. 3. After students receive 8-week courses given by scientific experiment classrooms, students show their significant progress in the posterior tests no matter in fluency, originality, flexibility or overall creativity. 4. Students with higher interest or parents of higher academic levels perform better in fluency, originality, flexibility and overall creativity than those with lower interest or parents of lower academic levels. Female students of the scientific experiment classrooms show better flexibility than males. 5. Extraversion can effectively predict fluency, originality, flexibility and overall creativity. The openness to experience can effectively predict flexibility and overall creativity.
