Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 地理學系 === 100 === The concept of the rural-urban fringe has been proposed in the 1960s. The rural-urban fringe means that there must be an interfacial area of the rural and urban having features of the gradual decline of agriculture sector, and of the gradual increase of the non-agricultural population and non-farm activities. In this study, we argue that Bade , as well as Luchu and Gueishan, is in the rural-urban fringe of Taoyan city. Using population, industry and land-use as indicator, Bade , Luchu and Gueishan are compared, and the feature of the urban expansion of Taoyan City and the uniqueness of Bade are presented. Results show that the differences of population index and industry index in these three regions are resulted from the differences of physical environment and transportation availabilities. Bade and Luchu have the same condition of “site,” while they are different in the condition of “location;” Bade and Gueishan have the same condition of “location,” while they are different in the condition of “site”, so it was able to shape and show clearly that people to gather outside the metropolitan, and the locational relation between the urban and rural areas, and the spatial characteristics of agricultural land converted to urban land.
