The research instruments were the questionnaire about the self-perception of teacher and test scores of biology for the junior science Olympiad at 99 annual in Taoyuan county. To sum up the conclusion of the research as follows: 1. The test scores of the students taught by female teachers were significantly higher than the students taught by male teachers. 2. The test scores of the students taught by unmarried teachers were significantly higher than the students taught by married teacher who having children. 3. The test scores of the students taught by teachers teaching years under five years and between sixteen to twenty years were significantly higher than the students taught by over twenty years. 4. There was no difference in the test scores of students taught by teachers Interested in the level of teaching. 5. The test scores of the students taught by teachers who felt high in the level of satisfaction were significantly higher than the students taught by felt medium in the level of satisfaction 6. The test scores of the students taught by teachers who believing that received great response to teaching from students were significantly higher than the students taught by teachers who believing that received other responses to teaching from students. 7. The test scores of the students taught by teachers who were highly concerned to the grades of students were significantly higher than the students taught by teachers who were not concerned and care about the grades of students 8. The test scores of the students taught by teachers who themselves agreed to proficiency in course content were higher significantly than the students taught by teachers who themselves disagreed to proficiency in course content. Based on the conclusions of this study, several recommendations aremade to government may encourage the school to hire younger teachers,and suggested that teachers can improve self-efficiency of teaching performance, in order to improve the learning achievement of students. In the future study, it is ideal to analyze the relationship among characteristics and self-efficiency of teaching performance of teacher and student achievement from the view point of student.
