However, only few scholars have tried to investigate the performance indicators in Taiwan’s LED industry. This research results would be served as a foundation for Taiwan’s LED industry new product development.
Based on theory and related references, this study proposed five dimensions and twenty-three indicators. In the first stage, the study applied Modified Delphi method to collect experts’ opinions and built up the performance indicators scale. In the second stage, the study applied analytic hierarchy process to calculate the weight value of dimensions and indicators.
From the feedback of these experts, the weight value of five dimensions are as following: customer market (38.0%), corporate strategy (26.6%), financial goals (18.0%), Technical procedures (10.2%),and project management (7.3%). There are twenty-two performance indicators superior to the five dimensions of new product development. The results can be practiced in LED industry, furthermore, the analytic framework can also be reliable reference for related industries.
