The number sense test was the main tool used in this research, 97 fourth-graders from 6 public primary schools in coastal regions of Tainan were selected and participated in this research, 36 of them are foreign spouses’ children. After completion of questionaire, descriptive analysis and independent T-test were used in analyzing the quantitative data. Based on the statistical analysis, the results of this research are as follow: 1. There is a significant difference between the number sense components for foreign spouses’ children. They performed best in “the ability of understand the relation in the meaning and figure of the figure” and did worst in “using benchmarks”. 2. There is no vast difference in the number sense result between different genders of foreign spouses’ children. 3. There is an obvious difference between foreign spouses’ children and non-foreign spouses’ children in general 4. There is an obvious difference between foreign spouses’ children and non-foreign children on the number sense components.
