There were 743 elementary school fourth and fifth grade students (359 males and 384 females). They were chose from northern area, central area, southern area, eastern area and outlying islands of Taiwan. The Backgrounds of Individual Questionnaire, the Children Gratitude Questionnaire, the Social Support Scale and the Prosocial Behavior Questionnaire were executed as the methodology in this research. The data were analyzed by one way ANOVA, Pearson''s correlation coefficient and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The major findings in this study were listed as follows: 1.There are significant difference in the children gratitude of the different sex, grade, religious participation, parenting styles and family atmosphere. 2.There are significant difference in the social support of the different sex, grade, parenting styles and family atmosphere. 3.There are significant difference in the prosocial behavior of the different sex, grade, family atmosphere, academic performance and family socioeconomic status. 4.There are significant correlations between the children gratitude and the social support. 5.There are significant correlations between the children gratitude and the prosocial behavior. 6.Thereare significant correlations between the social support and the prosocial behavior. 7.The children gratitude and the social support significantly predicate the prosocial behavior.
