Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 國語文學系碩士班 === 100 === Hu Chang-Song is an abject of study in this thesis. He is a Taiwanese novelist who is a post-war intermediate generation His literature includes Chinese and Taiwanese fiction. At first, he mainly created Chinese fiction and published two works. One is “Chaishan young Requiem”and the other is "Skeleton Bar". Owing to the two fiction, he became confident. He began to express his own ideas and thoughts through his fiction. In addition to fiction, he also published a poetry. He wrote down the memory of his life and feelings in the poetry. The thesis encompasses five chapters. Chapter One, “Introduction,” describes the motivation, purpose, problem definition, literature review, research methods and framework of this research. Chapter Two, “Introduction of Hu Chang-Song’s life and works,” describes Hu Chang-Song’s life, the process of his literature creation and the characteristics of his Taiwanese poetry. Chapter Three, “Hu Chang-Song’s Chinese novels,” discusses the themes, the thought of the novels, writing style and characterization of figures in the novels respectively. Chapter Four, “Hu Chang-Song’s Taiwanese fiction,” contains the themes of the fiction, the presentation of thoughts, writing techniques and the images of the characters. Chapter Five, “Conclusion,” is a comprehensive content about the research of Hu Chang-Song’s fiction and the limitations of the current study.
