My studied objects were excavated from Dahekou Cemetery in Yicheng County, Shanxi and dated during the Western Zhou period. The following findings were contributed to the discoveries of the Bronze inscriptions of Ba state. 1. “Ba-bo Yu” recorded the ceremonial orders of dowry engagement during the Western Zhou period. This inscription confirmed the historical document “ Book of Etiquette & Ceremonies- Chapter ‘Rite of Dowry’ ”. 2.”Chi Vase” with its unique shape documented the ceremonial procedures when Chi undertook his oath activity. 3. We learned from three inscriptions of “Ba-bo Gui”, “Ba-bo Plate”, and “Pon-bo Basin” located in tomb site M1017 that King Ba-bo had been awarded by Xing-su. And, he had carried on war with tribe Zo. In addition, the name of Ba-bo’s spouse was documented in the inscription as “Bo-Gi”. 4. The distinctly unique shape of “Ba Gui” found in the Tomb M1 indicated Ba’s era had come to a discontinued extinction. The period of his sovereignty was proximately dated during the Western Zhou under Zou-Mu period. 5.The varying sources of the Bronze discovered in Tomb M1 indicated the burier of Tomb M1 had the diplomatic relationship with Yen state.
