博士 === 國立清華大學 === 中國文學系 === 100 === The thesis focuses on diplomatic development so that have detail observation about Northern Dynasty of change in Chinese culture, interaction between Southeren and Northern Dynasty, conditions of using ambassadors, regulating of National policy and so on in order to take a look how acceptance of Chinese culture around the people in Northern Dynasty. Try to research show the all process of hundreds of years, the thesis uses the way of diachronism and incuding historical records in Northern and Southeren. To avoid one of perspectives. In the rest of Western Jin Dynasty, North of Chinese under the control of Five hu's 16 countries, but Northern Wei Dynasty of Toba tartars Xianbei builds to integrat and the customs between hu han. And Northern Wei Dynasty thought legitimism of Hua Xia and wants national inaction. Their culture has strong influence on diplomatic activities so that I use dynasty change of Northern Wei separate from histroy and chapters. The thesis had seven chapters: the first one for the motivation of the questions, review literature,make sure the purpose of my researah and imporant methods. The second the situation of diplomacy from tribes of Toba tartars Xianbei to Emperor Wu of Northern Wei to show Sinicizing in the beginging Dynasty. The third one because of diplomatic interaction so that Emperor Ming Yuan makes a progress in International standing through especially Emperor Tai U have Confucianism to choose ambassadors with important standard. They show that Toba tartars keep pursuiting legitimism of Hua Xia. And show the limited in imprisonment with envying of Chinese culture. The fourth one the changes from Emperor Un Cheng to Emperor Hsien Un presents Sinicizing of Northern Wei Deepening and why the attitude of Southeren in the change of diplomacy. The fifth one dicusses the influnce of famous Emperor Hsiao Un uses all Sinicizing in diplomacy and culture to make break off relations with Emperor Hsiao Chi of Southeren Dynasty in the later of period and delays much time International image of Northern Dynasty. The sixth one presents the equal challenge between Eastern Wei Dynasty Hsiao Liang of Southeren and make sure the past accounts. Not only clean up misunderstanding of existence at the same time, but also analyze the diffence of Northern and Southeren Dynasty and Eastern Wei Dynasty in attitude of diplomacy. The seventh one presents the huge change in the late period of Northern Qi Dynasty,Chou, Sui. In fact that’s result from Military administration and culture etc. The eighth one presents and make a conclusion diplomacy history and trend with sketch map.
