Choose right number of projects. It could secure project core team utilize right resource efficiently during product development stage, time to market, and achieve planned revenue. In this study, we compare two major product portfolio management approachs: Stage-Gate and PACE(Product And Cycle-time in theoretically, and also analysis Company P and Company L in practically, thus, conclude four recommendations for Company L which is, ranking projects priority based on financial analysis, utilize Expected Commercial Value in financial wise, PACE resource balance tool, and two bubble diagrams to review and enhance company resource and strategy arrangement (Risk Reward Bubble Diagram、3M Risk Reward Bubble Diagram。At the end, by implementation with recommendation, we found Company L has significant improvement on clearly project ranking,secure planned cash flow and strategy fit.
