Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 永續觀光暨遊憩管理研究所 === 100 === The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among travel motivations, travel constraints and travel intentions of female backpackers. Furthermore, moderating effects of gender role on the relationship between travel motivations and travel intentions and on the relationship between travel constraints and the travel intentions were also examined in this study. Structural questionnaire was employed in this study. A total of 439 usable questionnaires were achieved in the way of online survey. The results of this study suggest that most respondents were aged 21-40 years, unmarried and having higher education degree. Moreover, there are significant and negative correlations between travel motivations and travel constraints; travel motivations have positive and significant effects on travel intentions; travel constraints have negative and significant effects on travel intentions. Furthermore, the result of this study also find that gender role has a moderating effect on the relationship between travel motivations, travel constraints and travel intentions; effect of travel motivations and travel constraints on the travel intentions for the masculine and neutral gender identified respondents is greater than feminine gender identified respondents.
