The subjects are the parents whose children were in public or private kindergartens. With reference of self-made questionnaire and scale, the researcher applied “the multi-intelligence evaluation and the emphasis in children learning options by the parents in central Taiwan” as a research tool. A questionnaire survey was conducted by convenience sampling among the parents of young children who were 3-6 years old and learning in public and private kindergartens in Central Taiwan with the subjects of 701. The data obtained from the questionnaires were processed and analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation. The primary results are as follows: 1. In the evaluation of multi-intelligence by the parents in Central Taiwan, “the academic intelligence” was higher than “non-academic intelligence”; in the emphasis degree of children learning options, “non-academic intelligence” was higher than “academic intelligence”. 2. The background variables of parents of young children were significantly different in the evaluation of multi-intelligence with “total family monthly income” and “residential locations”. 3. The background variables of parents of young children were significantly different in the emphasis in learning options with the gender, age, education background, occupation, total family monthly income, ethnical group, residential locations and scale of residential area. 4. The evaluation of multi-intelligence and the emphasis in children learning options by the parents were significantly and positively correlated. Based on the results, the researcher makes some concrete recommendations for government, educators, parents and follow-up researches. Wei, Mei-Hue 魏美惠 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 194 zh-TW
