| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 熱帶農業暨國際合作系所 === 100 === The main principles of social capital include network, norms, and trust, which social efficiency are though group activities. Shuiwaku community, located in The Kenting National Park, is an important site for community ecotourism that local authorities aims to promote. Therefore, the objctive of this study is to observe changes on social capital parameters when theyt are developing ecotourism. In this study, records of 21 meetings were analyzed from February, 2009 to October, 2011 using the content analysis method. Results showed that there is high potential to increase social capital parameters after promoting community ecotourism. After the establishment of the community association, local people had more chances to improve network interaction. During ecotourism development, people start gradualy to trust on government and others in the community, and start to partcipate in public affairs. It ecouraged the initiative to develop a system of norms and mutual respect within the community. In the future we will continue to invest in ecotourism development to make people of community to work toward a common vision, and achieve sustainable development.
