Results of investigation showed that among land plants, the Makino bamboo and Bambusa can be used as the building material for Hakka housing construction; aromatic plants such as Magnolia (Michelia alba DC.), Osmanthus (Osmanthus fragrans Lour.), and horse Camellia (Tabernaemontana divaricata (L.) R. Br. ex Roem.) can be used for decoration, folk festival activity, landscape, and environmental greening. For aquatic plants, the native plants of celery grass (Hydrolea zeylanica (L.) Vahl), the Pingtung limnophila (Limnophila sp.), skillet limnophila (Limnophila trichophylla Komarov,), and white flower ludwigia (Ludwigia adscendens (L.) Hara) needed to be preserved and conserved when territory was invaded by the vigor alien aquatic plants such as coriander (Hydrocotyle leucocephala Cham. &; Schltdl.), light green Myriophyllum (Myriophyllum aquaticum the (Vell.) Verdc.), light crown water daisy (Gymnocoronis spilanthoides (D. Don ex Hook &; Arn.) DC.) alternate-leaf hygrophila (hygrophila difformis (L. f.) Blume (L. f.) Blume), and Bala grass (Brachiaria mutica (Forssk.) Stapf) occurred during 1980-1990. For industrial plants, rice was the major crop during the period of 1950-1970. With the advance in production technology, the yield of rice was increased and became the major income for local inhabitants. After 1980, rice was replaced by higher income crops such as betel nuts (Areca catechu L.) and banana (Musa sapientum L.). Guan Guay Mao, Ph.D. 毛冠貴博士 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 167 |
