In order to effectively solve the problem which users search for information, the methods of information retrieval and recommendation system can help users conveniently to obtain the required information. Therefore, this study utilizes the concept of ontology to describe the user’s preferences and to carry out the recommended paper. In addition, the group knowledge in the same field is going to be recommended to users via “Local Alignment.” In order to get more satisfying information for users, both of searching the documents which is recommended by the similar knowledge community and finding out the potential preferences of users are via the way of collaborative filtering.
