Adopted by the method of content analysis, to analyze the textbook of Kang Hsuan, Nani and Hanlin editions of social learning field from the third to sixth grade in 99 academic year-pssed by 9-year intergrated curriculum social learning field curriculum outline validation in 2003, to discover the display and distributed condition of script and photo history knowledge in the textbooks in the three editions, and to conduct the quality analysis and comparison of history knowledge in the three editions. According to refered literature and analysis results, the research ascribed to the conclusions below: 1. The textbooks of Kang Hsuan, Nani and Hanlin editions of social learning field contains history knowledge more than half, and the highest proportion appeared in the textbook of five under(The volume six), the least proportion appeared in the textbook of three upper(The volume one). 2. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the refered history knowledge has the highest proportion in economy and culture category, and the least proportion in politics and social category in the textbooks of Kang Hsuan, Nani and Hanlin editions. 3. As far as the script and photo content concerned, compared to the other two editions, the Kang Hsuan edition prefer to history knowledge in economy and culture category, the Nani edition prefer to history knowledge in politics and economy category, the Hanlin edition prefer to history knowledge in social and culture category. 4. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the main category contains the highest proportion of history knowledge during the third to sixth grade in the Kang Hsuan edition is history part. The main category contains the highest proportion in the third grade in Nani edition is economy part, in the fourth grade is culture part, in the fifth and sixth grade is economy pat. The main category contains the highest proportion in the third and fourth grade in Hanlin edition is culture part, in the fifth grade is economy pat, in the sixth grade is culture part. 5. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the history knowledge about politics category appears in senior grades in the Kang Hsuan, Nani and Hanlin edition, and the history knowledge about economy and culture category spreads from the third to sixth grades, and with higher proportion in senior to medium grades, and with higher proportion in medium to senior grades in social category. 6. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the history knowledge in politics category about external relations has the highest proportion in the third editions from the third to sixth grades, with politics reform come to second, and then the politics system. 7. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the history knowledge in economy category about economy activities has the highest proportion in the third editions from the third to sixth grades, with transportion come to second, and then the economy system. 8. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the history knowledge in social category about social structure has the highest proportion in the third editions from the third to sixth grades, with social change come to second, and then the newly social issues. 9. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the history knowledge in culture category about social customs and religious belief has the highest proportion in the third editions from the third to sixth grades, with cultural arts and academic education come to second, and then the technology inventions and spread. 10. As far as the script and photo content concerned, the proportion of the history knowledge of various categories in social learning field textbook from the third to sixth grades lose the balance, and the mentioned issue is also bised, scarce to the mention of nowadays policies and issues. 11. The mentioned starting point in each category in three editions is alike, in aspect of politics category, the three editions centered on Taiwan. In aspect of economy category, the three editions take family income and expemditure, hometown industury as the mentioned starting point. In aspect of social category, the three editions take home organization and member, community organization and agency as the starting point. In aspect of culture category, the three editions take name of hometown, customs and culture of local population as the mentioned starting point. 12. When mentioned about politics category history knowledge like the February 28 incident, the phrase and the mentioned emaphasis in the three editions is different to each other. 13. As to the discourse about Taiwan international situation, the Kang Hsuan edition calls China as The People''s Republic of China. The Nani edition calls China as The mainland of China. But in the Hanlin edition, the refered curriculum content about Taiwan international situation is not seen. Last, according to the conclusions mentioned above, researcher makes several suggestions to social learning field textbook editors, lectures, and research directions in the future.
