The information in the various versions of the teacher''s manuals is insufficient; moreover, the content of the textbook is not suitable for students in all regions. Teachers need to rewrite their teaching material based on students’ real living environment, but the data is difficult to obtain. In this study, the researcher combines the information which is provided by Google Earth with the learning index in Social learning field to develop the local geography supplemental material. In this study, data was analyzed according to volume-based method, supplemented by qualitative method and conducted by Quasi-experimental research method. The study sample is from the third grade students of two classes, 59 students in total. The experimental group applies Google Earth as supplemented aid and the control group uses the traditional teaching for 10 weeks. The learning effect is tested by paper tests and questionnaires. The study of students’ effectiveness of statistical analysis includes the descriptive statistics and ANCOVA; questionnaires base on the average to understand students'' cognitive trends. The research results are as follows: First, using Google Earth supplemented teaching helps those slow-learners’ learning achievement improved profoundly much better than traditional teaching. Second, the experimental group tends to learn with Google Earth assisted teaching and their learning attitude is positive with high motivation.
