碩士 === 國立屏東商業技術學院 === 不動產經營系(所) === 100 === In the era of globalization, the 21st century has become the century of urbanization, the competition between cities has also become more increasingly intense. Governments around the world are all fully planning the city with most development potential to be emerged as the international city, and hence to strengthen their national competitiveness. However, without a doubt, it is another new opportunity of survival and development for the city. Therefore, this article attempts to investigate the cities in China and Japan, including the ancient capitals, the capitals and the harbor cities on the perspective of their comprehensive development. Through the projects of industrial economy, social development, urban planning and cultural tourism in the context of different cultural, economic, compiled its development objectives and strategies as references for comparative analysis, then to become the proposed urban development strategies in Taiwan. The results have shown that urban development could be co-operated with the economy, society, population, environment and resources for the work of urban planning, construction and management, innovating of city characteristics, accelerating the reform of industrial economy, urban planning, construction and management, cultural tourism, enhancing the city competitiveness, to establish a lifestyles of health and sustainability (Lohas), livable city.
