Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 光電與通訊工程學系 === 100 === We present a supercontinuum source and a tunable broadband source utilizing NPR-IDL to restrain mode competition in the Erbium-doped fiber-ring resonation cavity. The NPR-IDL effect induce the spectrum broaden from C-band to L-band. And we also utilize SRS effect to shift parts of C+L-band power to U-band, then a supercontinuum source witch cover C+L+U-band has been demonstrated.   The spectra range of supercontinuum source is from 1530 nm to 1680 nm, which is above 150 nm and cover C+L+U-band, the optimum FWHM is 165.24 nm. The flatness of supercontinuum source is less than 3 dB, and the optimum flatness is 1.26 dB. Furthermore, the system has high stability which fluctuation is less than dB.   The tunable broadband source can be tuned between C-band, L-band, C+L-band and C+L+U-band. There were few reference paper in the past days, but some researchs used optical switch to make switchable broadband source between C-band and L-band.   Our system has high cost effective, in the structure we used some low-cost component, which is 2 m EDF, 2 km SMF and the pump power threshold is 50 mW to induced NPR-IDL and SRS effect.
