Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the death attitudes, positive mentality and Pre-need Funeral Agreement attitudes of primary school teachers in Kaohsiung City. The tudy adopted questionnaire survey, Using stratified random sampling to draw 727 primary school teachers in Kaohsiung City and finally obtaining 667 subjects for the study. The research tools included Death Attitude Scale, Positive Mentality Scale and Pre-need Funeral Agreement Attitudes Scale. The datd is analyzed by descriptive statistcs, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, Pearson's produc-moment correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.
The major results of this study are as follows:
1.Attitudes to death between the middle and lower levels, positive mentality and pre-need funeral agreement attitudes are between upper levels.
2.There is a significant difference on the primary school teachers'death attitudes with different background variables,such as gender, age, marital status, with or without children, religious beliefs, health status, access to death consciously education course, family discussion about death.
3.There is a significant difference on the primary school teachers' positive mentality with different background variables,such as health status, contact death experience, access to death consciously education course, family discussion about death.
4.There is a significant difference on the primary school teachers' pre-need funeral agreement attitudes with different background variables, such as contact death experience.
5.The primary school teachers'death attitudes, positive mentality and pre-need funeral agreement attitudes show a significant correlation.
6.The death attitudes, and positive mentality of primary school Teachers are predictable to pre-need funeral agreement attitudes.
Base on the conclusions of this research, some suggestions are made as a reference spouses for the Government, education administrations, teachers and future researchers.
