The publishers of textbooks provide their data of vocabulary from their textbooks. We use these data to compare the data of the English tests in TCTE (Testing Center for Technological & Vocational Education). The vocabulary are explored and compared in terms of their connections, the size of words, the overlapping words among each other. We want to focus on the relationships between learning materials and English testing of TCTE in terms of test knowledge of vocabulary. According to both qualitative and quantitative data, we summarized the findings as follows: 1. An overall investigation of the word list of three different vocational high school versions English textbooks may be beneficial to the selection of the most suitable textbook in terms of vocabulary. 2. The results of the comparison with the overlapping words among four data may help to provide more precise data of the quantity of the overlapping vocabulary in the textbooks. 3. It is useful in judging the overlapping words in the textbooks for teachers’ teaching; a questionnaire for teachers’ opinions is worth conducting. 4. The occurrence of repetition is low. It is still worthy with the presentation for students and teachers. 5. The textbook publishers may modify the textbook periodically.
