The newly formed chromosome is called Frankenstein originated from an open source framework for music composition and improvisation because parts of the new chromosome are reaped from other chromosomes rather than inherited conventionally from two parents only.This study uses a Harmony Genetic Algorithm to solve Combined Heat, Power Economic Dispatch (CHPED) and Reliability problem cases. Experimental results were conducted for an extensive comparison with GA and HS to confirm the superior performance of this hybrid approach in cost minimization and reliability.
