Nevertheless, the complexity of CPM is usually too high. One of the useful approaches to reduce the complexity is the PAM decomposition approach to CPM. Recently, Cariolaro [6]-[7] found that a class of CPM signals has the so-called phase separable property. Using this property, CPM with an phase shaping pulse length L (L>1), is equivalence to a correlatively encoded ( ) full response CPM (L=1). In this manner, the PAM-based receiver can be constructed with less PAM signals and the receiver complexity can be reduced significantly. In this thesis, we will simulate the performance of the PAM-based receiver for separable phase CPM. Since the receiver requires a decoder to recover the demodulated message, it has the error propagation problem. A precoder is suggested to connect to the original CPM and the receiver can be constructed without feedback decoder. It is found that the performance of precoded CPM is better than the one without precoder. none 楊新雄 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 49 zh-TW
