The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of light sources on the formation of SOA and gaseous products from ozonolysis of α-pinene in indoor environment. In this study, series α-pinene ozonolysis experiments were conducted in a 2.5-m3 controlled environmental chamber under dark and different lighting (red, green, blue, fluorescent and white LED lights) conditions. The results showed that the formations of SOA (<100 nm) and gaseous products from α-pinene/ozone reactions were affected by the indoor lighting. The highest SOA yield was measured around 83.1% at dark and followed by the red and fluorescent light conditions. The SOA yield measured under blue and white lightings were less than 20%. The highest formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acetone were found at dark, white and fluorescent lighting conditions, respectively. The formations of SOA were found to be affected by the intensity of light, while the carbonyl products did not change significantly. Chia-Wei Lee 李家偉 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 191 zh-TW
