Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 電子工程研究所 === 100 === Wireless Home Care System and Smart Home have been frequently discussed in the last decade. These systems collect data on human physiological activities and human living environments through wireless sensor networks (WSN) installed on household appliances. In early days, these systems are mainly constructed with wires and expensive equipments; therefore, lowering customers’ willingness to use. However, the advanced development of wireless telecommunication technologies and micro-processors gave birth to consumer electronic products equipped with wireless communication and computing capabilities which can provide user with desired information and services without the limit of time and space. ZigBee is a wireless mesh network standard applied in sensor transmission. With the characteristics of low-power consumption, low transmission rate and low cost, the easily-built ZigBee application can meet the demand of common families. This paper developed a wireless home temperature remote monitoring system by applying ZigBee wireless sensor networks (WSN). The proposed system was integrated with OSGi service platform and reported the monitored temperature data on that platform. The temperature data transmitted with the Internet to sever database, and create a website combined with the temperature data to provide users with desired information at any time, thus improve the quality of home monitoring. Based on the above goal, this paper developed a suite of system which have characteristics of the low cost, easily-built and can remote monitoring temperatures .
