It’s a complicated Japanese expression that included modestly and cautiously of Japanese interpersonal relationship. For most of foreigners who study Japanese language, the giving and receiving terminology is one of the difficult items. It would be caused misunderstanding when communicate with others if only master the grammar or clarify the meaning of words, but never realize Japanese culture, custom and psychology consciousness. There are lots of previous researches focused on this area, but the misunderstanding in commutation by misusage has not been reduced. For further pursue the misusage tendency of giving and receiving terminology, and make a proposal of new study way for learners that could be more effectively and get more joy from language studying, I did a linguistic study on Japanese language students in Taiwan. Following are the analysis results. 1. Category “(TE) KURERU” and “(TE) MORAU” are the most misusage items. 2. Using Auxiliary verbs are more difficult than verbs. 3. The main reasons of misusage are wrong-headed by viewpoint and particle function when using giving and receiving terminology. 4. The usage ability of giving and receiving terminology strongly related with Japanese level. 5. Conversation style studying will be more effective and less misusage than only studying on model sentences for Japanese Language students. none 張金塗 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 120
