Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 應用日語研究所 === 100 === The dissertation is mainly analyzing the processes and the effects of the electoral reformation in Taiwan and Japan when changing the electoral system from single nontransferable vote (SNTV-MMD) to mixed-member majoritarian(MMM). Japan changed it from SNTV-MMD to MMM in 1996. On the other hand, Taiwan changed it from SNTV-MMD to MMM in 2008.
In chapter I, it is about the discussion of the process in Japan when changing from SNTV-MMD to MMM. In chapter II, I will be analyzing the process in Taiwan. Later, the comparisons of the results after the electoral reformation between in Japan and in Taiwan will be shown in chapter III and IV. After all, instead of saying that the ruling party held the power to change the electoral systems in these two countries, two parties all agreed to change electoral system to MMM. What leads to the future political situation is that two major political parties are rotating to rule the government.
