| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 造船及海洋工程研究所 === 100 === The main objective of this paper is to study on the parametric rolling motion of ships. A comprehensive perception work shall be proceeded for such special phenomenon of ship motion. The overall process of the parametric rolling of ships shall be studied. The mechanism and principles of such motion shall be analyzed detailedly. The phenomenon of parametric rolling will be explained by the way of the mathematical analysis of the ship motion equation. This research is used to simulate the parametric rolling phenomenon by Det Norske Veritas commercial software-Wasim. The software with potential theory and rankine panel method are used to analyze the numerical model. The influence parameters in parametric rolling phenomenon will be analyzed, and the guidances for ship operation to avoid such motions shall be practically demonstrated using the results of the study.
