Summary: | 碩士 === 國立宜蘭大學 === 建築與永續規劃研究所碩士班 === 100 === Lanyang Plain is abundant in water environment. Under the situation of continuous farmhouse construction in the non-urban area, the farmland is gradually substituted by buildings and artificial pavements, which cause the imbalance of water- circulation and destruction of water-environment ecology. The major purpose of this study is to discuss the current condition of water-circulation outdoor space around farmhouses in Lanyang Plain and to learn the impacts of the farmhouse construction on the water environment. Moreover, based on the investigation and analysis results, this paper proposes the construction suggestions for the water-circulation outdoor space when constructing farmhouses in the Lanyang Plain in the future. Through the water-circulation concepts, this study clarifies the composition of the water- circulation outdoor space around the farmhouses. Based on the four dimensions of environmental sustainability, namely, ecology, production, living and life, it summarizes five subjects related to water-circulation outdoor space, derives nine investigation categories and 21 investigation items, as well as builds the framework of investigation on the current situation of the water-circulation outdoor space, which is taken as the tool to explore the current condition of using the water-circulation outdoor space around the farmhouses. Based on the construction ages and styles, the farmhouses in Lanyang Plain can be divided into “traditional farmhouses”, “old-style modern farmhouses”, and “new-style modern farmhouses”, among which 65 cases are selected as the subjects to conduct investigation in this study.
Below are the analysis results of the investigation on the current condition of the water-circulation outdoor space around the farmhouses based on the mentioned four dimensions. As for the subject of ecology, 23% of the cases set up pools in the outdoor space, and the porous proportion of pool revetment is 47%. In the cases of not setting up pools, 72% are unwilling to set up pools in the outdoor space around the farmhouses. The nonporous proportion of the concrete-made irrigation canal base is 54% and the nonporous proportion of the irrigation canal revetment is 96%. For the plant on the buffer zone of the canal aside the farmhouses, the discontinuous proportion is as high as 78%. As for the subject of production, 72% of the sewage doesn’t go through the waste water treatment facilities. As for the subject of living, 23% of the farmhouses have the space for canal water use, 17% have the hand and water pumps that still work normally, among which the traditional farmhouses take the highest proportion. 48% of the households living in the farmhouses use the irrigation canal nearby, most of which are the cases of traditional houses and old-style modern houses, and 65% use the water for garden irrigation. As for the subject of life, the water conservation after the farmhouse construction is only 41.29% of that before the farmhouse construction, among which the traditional farmhouses get 50.13%, new-style modern farmhouses 27.83%, and the old-style modern farmhouses 2.81% which is the worst,. The farmhouse cases constructed on the non-irrigated farmland get 52.77% of the water conservation of that before the construction, which is much better than the farmhouse cases constructed on the irrigated farmland, 6.20%.
According to the investigation results, in order to ensure good water environment for the inhabitation within the farmhouses and the irrigation canals, this study suggests setting up at least one pool that provides inhabitation for the creatures in the outdoor space. Aside from the safety consideration, the revetment should be also porous. The pool can’t only provide the scenery for the courtyard, but also have the ecological function. As for the revetment on the irrigation canal, it is suggested using the unsmooth porous material on the surface. The space of the buffer zone between the irrigation canals and the outdoor spaces of farmhouse should grow plants, and stratified plant is recommended. To reduce the pollution of the irrigation water, the sewage should be first processed by the waste water treatment facilities before flowing out of the farmhouses. Moreover, it is suggested using the artificial wetland to conduct a second purification to ensure the water quality. To show the water culture and environment of Lanyang Plain, it is suggested setting up traditional water-use space in the construction area, and the water used in the outdoor space should give priority to underground water or irrigation water. The water conservation after the farmhouse construction should set keeping the original water conservation as the goal. It is suggested using the permeable material on the pavement of the outdoor space around the farmhouses, and setting up pool space to improve the water conservation.
