However, rare microdrive can fulfill the requirements of this kind of experiments. We proposed a microdrive with two distinct driver sets, a screw driver and a nut driver, which lowered the position of center-of-mass. Each microdrive conjugated with a bundle of microelectrode. The inter-bundle distance was adjustable from 0.8 to 10 mm depended on users’ requirement. The assembly movable microelectrode was weight 1.485 g, height 25 mm. It arranged in triangular shape thus stabilized when advancing. The performance of the device had proven by simultaneous recording of multiple single-unit activities of diencephalon and cerebellar cortex of free moving rats.
