Description
Summary:碩士 === 南華大學 === 宗教學研究所 === 100 === The purpose of this study is to explore the present statuses of and the relations between elementary school teachers’ religious beliefs and their well-being. To achieve the purpose of the study, we adopted the questionnaire survey method, using Nantou County’s public elementary school teachers as subjects and using stratified random sampling as a sampling method according to school size. A total of 602 questionnaires were distributed and a total of 490 questionnaires were returned, with a return rate of 81.3%. A total of 479 questionnaires were valid. The present study used the research tool, “the elementary school teachers’ religious beliefs and well-being scale”, which is a combination of Yan’s (2007) “religious beliefs scale” and Lin’s (1996) “well-being scale”, to conduct a questionnaire survey on teachers and to understand the present statuses of and the relations between elementary school teachers’ religious beliefs and their well-being. According to the results of statistical analyses, we come to the following conclusions: 1、The present status of elementary school teachers’ religious beliefs is in the middle and lower level. 2、The present status of elementary school teachers’ well-being is in the middle and upper level. 3、Elementary school teachers’ religious beliefs vary as personal backgrounds vary. 4、Elementary school teachers’ well-being varies as their personal backgrounds vary. 5、Elementary school teachers’ religious beliefs are positively correlated with their well-being. 6、Elementary school teachers’ religious beliefs can significantly predict their well-being. Based on the above conclusions, this study proposed several suggestions for educational authorities, schools, elementary school teachers, and future research.
