Summary: | 碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處教育心理與諮商碩士專班 === 100 === The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of self-esteem, alienation, alienation object, and educational profession belief of the elementary school substitute teachers; to discuss the differences of self-esteem, alienation, alienation object, and educational profession belief of the different backgrounds elementary school substitute teachers; as well as the relationship of self-esteem, alienation, alienation object, and educational profession belief of the elementary school substitute teachers.
The measures used in this research include “Self-Esteem Scale”,“Alienation Scale”, and self-made “Educational Profession Belief Scale”. A total of 312 elementary school substitute teachers are as subjects. These collected data was analyzed through describing statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA , Pearson test, and multiple stepwise regression analysis.
The results of this study can be included as follows:
1.Self-esteem of the elementary school substitute teachers are mid-high level.
2.Alienation and alienation object of the elementary school substitute teachers are mid-low level. Powerlessness gets the highest score on alienation dimensionality, and social current status gets the highest score on alienation object dimensionality.
3.Educational profession belief of the elementary school substitute teachers are mid-high level and teaching will gets highest score in this dimensionality.
4.The background variables of different school areas will affect the self-esteem, alienation, and educational profession belief of the elementary school substitute teachers.
5.The higher self-esteem of the elementary school substitute teachers, the lower the alienation or alienation object.
6.The lower alienation or alienation object of the elementary school substitute teachers, the higher the educational profession belief.
7.The higher self-esteem of the elementary school substitute teachers, the higher the educational profession belief.
8.Self-alienation of elementary school substitute teachers and students as alienation object shows the negative prediction for educational profession belief. Self-esteem doesn’t have predictability.
Based on the result and discussion of the research, the researcher offers some recommendations as reference materials for teacher education institutes, schools, elementary school substitute teachers, and future studies.
