A total of 330 high school students were asked to fill a set of instruments, including the Interest Inventory of College Entrance Examination Center, the Chinese Seven Basic Personality Dimensions of Self-Rating Scale, and the Thinking Style Inventory. The obtained data were analyzed by using Pearson’s correlation analyses, Canonical correlation analyses, and multiple regression analyses. The main findings of this study are as follows: First, the large-mindedness basic personality trait, and the anarchic and the internal thinking styles steady impact and forecast to the realistic type of career interest. Second, the agreeableness and the large-mindedness basic personality traits steady impact and forecast to the investigative type of career interest. Third, the legislative, the judicial, and the liberal thinking styles steady impact and forecast to the artistic type of career interest. Forth, only the external thinking style steady impact and forecast to the social type of career interest. Fifth, the competence and the large-mindedness basic personality traits, and the external thinking style steady impact and forecast to the enterprising type of career interest. Sixth, the industriousness basic personality trait, and the hierarchic and the conservative thinking styles steady impact and forecast to the conventional type of career interest.
