The purpose of the study is to review the implementation of elementary schools anti-bullying program in Tao-yuan County, included the relevance and the degree of the implementation in four domains - policy and advocacy, protection and interruption, education and training, assessment and inspection. To explore the elementary school teachers and administrative personnel's working background and their current perception on anti-bullying program. And meanwhile, to compare with the different independent variables of anti-bullying personnel’s background and their perception on anti-bullying program.
Through analyzing the theories of anti-bullying, the study adopted the method of questionnaire survey. The study applied the purposive sampling to select the samples of 300 the elementary school teachers and administrative personnel from 192 public elementary schools in Tao-yuan County, which 268 questionnaires were valid. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation analysis. The study found as follows:
1. The current status of elementary schools anti-bullying program was all rated at middle high level.
2. The degree of implementation of the four domains of anti-bullying program from high to low, which ranked as policy and advocacy, protection and interruption, education and training, as well as assessment and inspection.
3. The elementary school teachers and administrative personnels' perceptions on anti-bullying program were significantly different as they have different duties, school size, help satisfaction, teacher training, program study hours. But there’s no significant difference as they have different gender, educational background, teaching years, experience in handling, result satisfaction, to ask helps.
4. There is a significant moderate positive correlation among the 4 implementation domains. They could be explained by the variation of about 30-50%.
5. The elementary school teachers and administrative personnel think the most in need in anti-bullying work which ranked from high to low is human resources, advisory, teaching material, teaching equipment and fund.
Finally, in terms of this research, suggestions and conclusion were raised for the educational administrative authority, elementary schools administrative personnel, and will, hopefully provides references for future studies.
