Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 藝術創意產業學系 === 100 === The purpose of the research is to gain a further understanding toward the status and distribution of Miniature Art in Taiwan, and the relationship between key constituents and promotion process. This thesis is built on the concepts of diffusion and stakeholder perspective. Following a case study strategy, data collection methods adopted in this research included semi-structured and in-depth interview, direct observation and document analysis. Respondents for primary data collection include three specific groups: Firstly, early adopters in miniature art are approached, secondly, artists in a miniature art exhibit hosted by the only miniature art in Taiwan are interviewed. Lastly, individuals that are referred by the above respondents were also surveyed. The result shows that in the case of miniature art, apprenticeship and workshops are primary mediums for early stage of diffusion..These key persons are mostly resided in northern and central Taiwan but less in southern and eastern Taiwan. Moreover, these individuals often interact through relatively small social networks and are rather passive in distributing their knowledge. To pursue business success, the research also found a few among them who transform miniature art into leisure activity option in the hope to expand potential customer base. The issue in promoting miniature art therefore becomes a matter of art and business when the former maintaining a small network and the latter approaching a larger population. As far as the diffusion of miniature art is concerned, early adopters should take on a more active role so the followers could benchmark against and the quality of work could sustain.
