In this paper, we present an innovative procedure by combining computer graphic simulation and real scene capturing to produce high quality auto-stereoscopic images. We use laser to scan three-dimensional models as graphic application input to simulate the multi-view camera capturing from multiple angles. The simulation aims to find the best shooting parameters for compositing high quality auto-stereoscopic images. Generally the changes of the shooting parameters will severely affect the visual effect of images. Therefore how to precisely set up the shooting parameters of multi-view images has become an important issue. The composite auto-stereoscopic images are evaluated through human factor experiments, thus the best shooting parameters can be decided. Then the best shooting parameters are applied to the real scene capturing, thus the massive shooting time is saved and the high quality of auto-stereoscopic image is also preserved.
