Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 教育行政與管理學系 === 100 === This study is to examine the current situation of the elementary school principals' story-leadership and teachers' professional commitment, their differences in perception and the correlation and predictability among variables. To conduct the study, the questionnaire of "The elementary school principals' story- leadership and teachers' professional commitment" edited by myself is utilized. The parent population is teachers from 276 public elementary schools in Ilan, Hualien and Taitung Counties, Taiwan in 2010 and the method of Stratified Random Sampling is adopted. A total of 459 questionnaires are given and 424 returned; the return rate is 92.37%. Through coding and eliminating the unusable questionnaires, there are 422 usable questionnaires left and the usable percentage is 91.94%. The analysis methods include t-test, Chi-Square test, One Way Analysis of Variance (one-way ANOVA), Pearson Product-moment Correlation Analysis and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. Based on the result of data analyzed, this study can be concluded as below: 1.Elementary school teachers' perception of principals' story-telling leadership is good. The performance of "Story-telling Identification" is the best. 2.Elementary school teachers generally have good professional commitment. The performance of "Profession ethics" is the best. 3.Elementary school teachers in the size of the different positions, districts and schools, the perception of principals' story-telling leadership up to a significant difference. 4.Those with the director position, small-sized school teachers and the teachers in the rural schools have higher perception level of elementary school principals' story-telling leadership. 5.Elementary school teachers in the different age and years of service, teachers' professional commitment are significant differences. 6.Teachers are under 30 years of age, less than five years of service, the performance of teachers' professional commitment is better. 7.The relationship between the elementary school principals' story-telling leadership and teachers' professional commitment has a moderate positive correlation. 8.The overall performance of elementary school principals' story-telling leadership has significant predictive power for teachers' professional commitment. Finally, this study based on the research results, suggestions for educational administration, elementary school principals and teachers, as well as future researchers as a reference.
