Summary: | 碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 觀光暨休閒遊憩學系 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to use for factors(socioeconomic status, race, perceived discrimination and ethnicity) to examine the difference of leisure participation between Mainland Chinese and Vietnam female immigrants, and to understand which factor is the most powerful. Because of limited time and resource, purposive-sampling-survey was used to the Mainland Chinese and Vietnam female immigrants who lived in Taipei City at least one year.
This study collected data from the survey questionnaire, which included four parts. The first part is leisure participation ( include entertainment type, outdoor type, exercise type, family-social type, skilled type, literary arts type, count with 5 points, from 5 to 1 which is depend on the frequency of participation), the second part is perceived discrimination (count with 4 points, 4 represent usually, go to 1 representnever thus), the third part is ethnicity identy (count with 5 points, 5 represent very agree, go to 1 represent the very disagree), and the forth part is demographic data. Three hundred and thirty-five effective questionnaires were obtained, including 255 Mainland Chinese and 75 Vietnamese.The result indicated that the difference ofleisure participation between Mainland Chinese and Vietnam female immigrants onlyin outdoor type and skilled type activities (Mainland Chinese is less than Vietnamese).The multiple regression revealed the powerful factors to explain the difference inoutdoor type activities are education level and race, and to explain the difference in skilled type activities are eduaction level, race and perceived discrimination.
