| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 歷史學系 === 100 === Western Medicine in Modern China is a popular subject of Medical history, and there is a great deal of medical system on their preparation. But the real medical situation is more complicated and lively than what the medical system to show. In the Perspective of Historical Anthropology, we found that many information include Medical image left from Republic of China were constructed. Using Liang Qichao's medical treatment of Hematuria as an example, this paper will argue that western medicine image from Modern China is more likely a part of collective memory.
In this paper, I prove that with the respect of Chinese modernization, some intellectual Be stimulated by the nationalism were constructed the social memory. They concerned the Western Medicine with modern or advance. For the nationalism reason, Liang Qichao becomes a man who deeply believe Western Medicine and science. Even the fact is Liang Qichao more like Chinese Medicine than Western Medicine. When the new age comes, the nationalism in china is more needless than past. A new social memory of Liang Qichao's medical treatment has been created. Liang Qichao becomes a good patient becuase he did the "right thing" in his treatment of Hematuria. Until 1980s, the Doctor-Patient relationship become very tight. A new social memory of Liang Qichao's medical treatment has been created again. Liang Qichao becomes a stupid person who dead because of his easily believe on the hospital.
