The wealth of the society, generous living style and abnormal diet patterns often lead to the failure of health in the elderly population. When a member of the family is suffering from some form of chronic disease, much pressure is exerted on the entire family. Aging population lead to an enormous number of people suffering from chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney dysfunctions that require care takers. However, with shortage in medical staff, how to utilize modern electronic technology to solve the basic need of monitoring the physiological data of the patient from a different location has become a trend in industry. With the highly developed telecommunications technology of today, related application has become ever more important. The interface of detection device sold on the market, apart from simple on-the-panel display or hardcopy printout, includes USB, RS232, ZIGBEE and so on. This study utilizes RS232 transforming ETHERNET mechanism to transfer information into packet. Then power cable and the ETHERNET are used as transmission medium in order for the loading of the physiological information of the elderly or long-term care patient under medical staff monitoring situated in faraway locations such as home. This is to prevent the elderly persons or chronic disease patients from suffering from serious aftereffects due to neglecting the minor warnings from the body (for example, Myocardial Infraction, stroke and so on).
