碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 電機工程學系 === 100 === Cooperative communication which utilizes multiple distributed terminals to transmit data is a promising technology to achieve the high data rate and the better signal quality in the future wireless communication. A relay network with the cooperative communication technology has been shown to effectively increase the throughput and resist the signal fading. In practical, however, the system performance of the relay network would degrade in the presence of the frequency offsets generated by the different terminals. Therefore, it is important to study the frequency offset estimation in a relay network. In this thesis, the performance of carrier frequency offset estimation for the OFDM-based relay network would be analyzed. We first derive the Fisher information matrix of the frequency offset for a single-relay network in a multipath fading channel. And then, the Cramer-Rao Lower Bounds (CRLB) of the frequency offset estimation would be calculated by the derived Fisher Information Matrix. Finally, we will show the numerical results of the CRLBs for the frequency offset estimation by computer simulations. The CRLBs of the frequency offset estimation would also be evaluated by the various system parameters.
